Components and a collaborative editor in one kit.

CDK bundles Modula’s Web Component library, the collaborative Editor Kit, and a Server SDK into one toolkit for your content infrastructure — framework-agnostic, themeable, and accessible by default.

How it works

From import to production.

No new build step to learn. Pull the components you need and ship.

  1. 01 • Install

Add components via npm or the Modula CLI, or pull a ready-made bundle. No framework lock-in.

  2. 02 • Theme

Style with CSS custom properties to match your design system — colors, type, spacing, dark mode.

  3. 03 • Ship

Drop the elements into any page, or let your team compose them in the Editor Kit. Publish anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about CDK.

Which frameworks does it work with?
The components are vanilla Web Components (Custom Elements), so they work in React, Vue, Svelte, Astro, or plain HTML — no wrapper required.
How do I theme the components?
Every component exposes CSS custom properties for color, typography, and spacing. Set them globally or per instance to match your design system, including dark mode.
What is the Editor Kit?
A block-based, collaborative editor that composes documents from the same components. Embed it in your product so non-developers can assemble interactive content without code.
How do I get the components into my project?
Install from npm, pull a bundle with the Modula CLI, or fetch a project bundle by URL. Bundles stay updated through Modula’s release cycle.
